Biography
Ann earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. She was a research chemist for Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan for 11 years before leaving Dow and founding a technical communications firm. She worked as a free-lance technical writer and editor along with her husband Jim for 30 years. She is now retired, moving to Bloomington in 2013. She became active in the League of Women Voters of Bloomington-Monroe County in 2016. In 2017 she joined the Board of Directors and started the Communications Committee. She was chair of the committee until 2022. She became president in 2018 and held that position through 2022. She implemented ClubExpress as the League web platform and is still involved with platform functionality and League documentation.
She is a quilter and she collects old home medical guides and cookbooks as well as books on women's histories in the west and during war. She also researches her family history. She has one daughter, two stepdaughters, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. (updated 2023)
