History
Building on the national organization’s 1920 founding, the League of Women Voters of Fort Wayne first organized in the mid-20th century. Following a dormant period beginning in the early 1980s, dedicated members revived the chapter in 2009, launching an era of civic engagement that remains strong today.
Mission
The League of Women Voters of Fort Wayne, a nonpartian political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major puplic policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. We never support or oppose any political party or candidate.
